Participants are advised to travel to the conference using public transport as driving in Central London can be difficult and expensive.

By car
If driving to the conference, you can plan your route online at www.theaa.com or www.rac.co.uk. For those with satellite navigation the postal code is W1B 1NT.

The closest car park is in Devonshire Row Mews (W1W 5AU), which is approximately 2 minutes walk away from the venue.

Please be aware that the venue is within the Congestion Charge zone, so you may be required to pay a fee to drive on the roads around the venue.

Undergound / rail
28 Portland Place is located within walking distance of several underground tube stations connecting major lines including Bakerloo, Victoria, Circle and District providing good transport links to the rest of London. The closest stations are Great Portland Street, Regents Park and Oxford Circus. The venue is also conveniently located close to Kings Cross (St Pancras) for the Eurostar and London Euston both with excellent links to the rest of the country.

  • Great Portland Street (0.3 miles) - Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan lines.
  • Regents Park (0.4 miles) - Bakerloo line.
  • Oxford Circus (0.4 miles) - Bakerloo and Victoria lines.
  • Warren Street (0.6 miles) - Northern and Victoria lines.
  • Euston (1 mile) - Victoria and Northern lines.
  • Kings Cross St Pancras (1.4 miles) - Victoria, Piccaddily, Northern, Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan lines.

By air
London is one of Europe's central routing points for international air travel and has five major airports that are served by nearly every major international airline. Participants are recommended to book flights early to take advantage of discounted fares.

London's five airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Luton and City) all have easy connections into central London by train, tube, coach or taxi. To plan your onward journey by tube or rail visit www.tfl.gov.uk or www.nationalrail.co.uk and by coach visit www.nationalexpress.co.uk. The cost of taxi's from each airport will vary significantly and as traffic can be busy in central London you are advised to use where possible the rail and underground network.
